Employment
Thanks to all who have expressed concern. I can not go into all the details of what happened today, but I am still employed. I was offered an option which allows me to continue but it requires relocation to another facility. I will be making my decision over the next week and it is not going to be an easy one.
Right now my heart goes out to all of my other co-workers and friends who were not given this option. I hope all of the talented people who were let go today will find another position quickly at a company who is more employee centric. While I feel fortunate to have a choice I can’t feel anything but anger and remorse that this situation had to happen in the first place.

I’m glad to hear you got an offer but I just wanted to wish you the best. This all stinks as it kinda was unecessary. Anyway, best of luck to you. I hope you can come to a decision without too much stress.

I’ve been through plenty of company downsizing and it is never a good time for anyone involved.
